At the front of the ship next to the
accommodation block on the first floor above the
training office we have the main seamanship room,
this is where cadets are taught basic to advanced
elements of seamanship, that's all about rope
work,
blocks and pulleys, boating and sailing type activities.
Next door to the seamanship room we have another
classroom, this room is mainly used as a wrtier
stores training room, it is where cadets learn
about looking after the admin of a ship like what
forms to use to request courses, what information
has to be completed for courses and how to work
the units database that keeps records of all the
unit people, events and activities.

The final classroom on this floor is the
communications office, this is where cadets learn
the finer points about Royal Navy communications,
from morse code, phonetic alphabet and flags to
radio and computer communications. The room is
equipped with morse keys, headsets and microphones
to practice off the air so the correct procedures
are adhered to.
