Off the main deck you will find the training office. Mr Mottram the training officer has loads of recruitment material, booklets, leaflets etc. All the course plans, schedules and whats going on can be found here along with big blown up pictures of our cadets in action on the water, fund raising and doing outside activities. The room also doubles up as a class room and has a PC and printer.


Some of the pictures in the hq marketing are pictures from the training officer, he also has had cadet pictures published in the navy news, in the spring 2006 marine society and sea cadets magazine as well as looking after our marketing, online mailing lists to keep everybody in the unit up to date with whats going on and hosting/maintaing our website.


Across the main deck from the Training Office is the New Entry classroom below left and the sea cadets stores. All new cadets go through at least 6 weeks basic training to learn all the basics of what being a sea cadet is all about, how to dress and how to address staff. Once they have shown they can do this they are tested on their knowledge both practically and orally.
