Cadets Multi Activity Weekend proves a Success ...
The Bank Holiday at the Start of May was a great time to
take advantage of the latest central heating improvements to
the units accommodation facilities. Nineteen cadets attended
the unit for a long weekend for activities such as swimming,
canoeing,
PT, camp craft and rank advancement resulting in many
passing their swimming test and others being advanced to the
next rank..
In addition to the activities a group of seven cadets went
out Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening with staff to do
some fund raising. The fund raising was a great success and
raised just short of £1,100 which will go towards our two
latest major projects (completion of the central heating
system and a new smaller safety boat for support at Glossop).
